Input | Output Delegating ADA to Community Stake Pools
IOG, the developers of the Cardano platform, is delegating a portion of their ADA to community stake pools to support positive social change and to enhance the robust, geographically-distributed blockchain network. This proactive initiative will feature two programs: one for ‘Incubator’ pools and another for ‘Purpose’ pools...
- Incubator pools will be selected based on more ‘technocratic’ criteria, focusing on stake pools that are performant and competently run by skilled operators who have invested a significant amount of pledge (or invested heavily in the ecosystem) but have struggled to attract delegation.
- Purpose pools will be selected according to the mission and purpose driving them, stake pools driving positive change by offering educational opportunities, supporting a charity, eco-friendly initiative, etc.

Input|Output is the engineering firm developing the Cardano platform, which has more advanced features of any protocol to date, and is the first to evolve out of a scientific philosophy. The large team of expert engineers and researchers, drawn from around the globe, began by deconstructing the concept of a cryptocurrency and incorporating a ground-breaking Proof of Stake Algorithm, Ouroboros. The IOHK team employed a first principles approach driven by peer-reviewed, academic research to build Cardano from the ground up.
